It was well into the night as the moonlit started to show on the moonlit flowers. Lapis smiled as the light of the moon made these flowers glow brightly colored, some were even sending orbs of light into the air. It reminded of Lapis of her home, enough to make her feel unsure of herself. It had been so long since thinking of that. The young fairy sank to her knees and hugged her arms close as she sat in the circle of flowers.

Once again, Kanda found himself in the garden. The lights in the garden made him look around in awe, even if it didn't show on his face. He spotted Lapis sitting in a circle of flowers and decided to speak "The garden looks beautiful."

Lapis opened her eyes and turned to stare at who had spoken. Her gaze was level, her skin was still dark blue. Not sure that to trust anyone yet. Only a few people she had gotten to trust, and she didn't know this person. Was he a magical? Human? "T-thank you." she said, the girl did take pride in her garden raising.

Her skin made him question whether she was human or not, but he didn't want to put his nose where it didn't belong "You are welcome." He crouched down and touched the petals of a beautiful flower.

Lapis looked at the boy touch the flower. She caught her breath, wanting him to tell him to be really careful. But so far, based on his actions though he was being gentle to the flowers. The water fairy looked at him for awhile, there were no distinct features that showed if he was a magical or not. Maybe he had fangs like a vampire, or a wizard? Wizards and witches looked mainly human. "A-are you staying at the hotel?"

"Yes, I am." He nodded and let go of the flower.

Lapis was a bit relieved to see that he had removed his hand from the flower. She knew better than to think that the flowers were hers. They were everyones. They did belong to the garden not her. "Ah, i see.." she frowned. "I hope you don't mind me asking but...what are you?"

He raised an eyebrow "What do you mean 'What am I?'"

Lapis's brow furrowed a bit in frustration, more in her own reason. She wasn't sure how she could explain it. "I mean...are you magical?" she asked carefully. "Do you change shape or drink blood, or one of the other classes of magic?" She was curious, and also guarded, she wasn't sure if talking with a human or not was in her best interest

"I'm just a human." He stood up and stretched.

Lapis's body tensed at the mention of it. A human? She was talking to a human?! Her heart beat went fast, she had to remain calm. "I..i see." she said quietly, trying not to sound too scornful, not all humans were bad, Dracula said so but that didn't mean she couldn't still feel anger towards them.

Kanda noticed her tense up "Are you okay?" He was right, she was a magical creature. He didn't think another human would tense up like that if he told them he was human.

Lapis gave a small nod. "Oh...yes." she said quickly, though that was a lie. She could have easily just told him no. But she at least wanted to try talking to him. "It's nothing, I have not had good interactions with humans in the past."

"Well, I am not going to hurt you, so do not worry." He sighed and sat next to her.

Lapis looked at him for awhile before deciding not to say anything about the situation. "What brought you to the hotel?" she asked, trying to make a pleasant conversation or at least a less awkward one
