The water fairy raised an eyebrow, she wasn't sure if she believed him. "You would be willing to put yourself in danger to protect others even if they weren't human?" she asked. That seemed strange for a human to do. Then again she didn't know many humans but that was in her nature.

Lapis looked at the sword and backed a few steps away. She didn't like weapons anymore than she did humans, but humans with weapons were just more uneasy than she thought. Her blue eyes locked on her feet. "I'm sorry..I just.." she felt so panicked. "Weapons and I don't...well things in the past just keep coming into my head."

Kanda looked down to his belt and pulled the sword off, sheath and all, and placed it away from him, hoping to make her feel more eased now that he couldn't grab it "Does it make you feel better now?"

Lapis looked at the garden. "This is what I do really. I take care of the garden. I...I don't really like to spend time in the hotel." she said simple. It was a bit hard for her to get used to all the noise and people. The garden was her home as far as she could tell

Lapis was a bit surprised that someone agreed with her. "I just...can't trust them yet. Not after all they did." she said, it was a bit troubling to tell a fellow human this as well. "I can't fully trust you either but you seem different from them."
