Midnight drinks {Tag: Cloud}

When Riley saw a guy that was way older than her coming into the cafe, she was shocked on how tall he was and how nice looking he was by just his appearance alone. She saw him ordering some sort of cake that did look good compared to the cake that she bought which looked cheaper by just either a dollar or a couple of dollars to just order something that looked really sweet. She did grumble at the fact that he was lucky to just get a free desert just because someone was going inside the place plenty of times, but, did not want to get jealous just because of someone getting something for free. It would make her look greedy and spiteful so, she just appreciated on what she had. Although buying her plain desert was free, it was worth buying considering that she was hungry for something sweet. She then saw that her cake was replaced by the desert that the guy just gave her, and she looked at him as she cocked an eyebrow. "Oh, thank you, sir. You didn't have to.." She said, and blushed as she started to eat it and just looked at the outside window." As she started to eat the cake, he was right. It did taste better than having plain cake. "She then drank her hot chocolate and it was just bringing in the sweet warmth to her body, which was drinking. She felt her body getting cold again and she ordered a large cup.

When she heard the young man letting her know that she could live with him her eyes started to widen as she did not expect that remark. Whoa, they just met and he's taking her in. She did not know on what to say to the guy since he was being that generous to her; it could be nice since her parents did not pay attention to her, and she would need a father figure since he did not pay attention to her much back at home. "Sure, I guess." She ate more of the cake and had no idea on how he could tell that she was poor. "Well, I.. thank you sir." She thanked him and walked towards the guy with another truffle on her plate and sat towards him. "So, what's your name?" She asked, with a nervous grin as she was eating her cake and drinking her hot drink that the guy brought for him. "My name, is Riley Anderson."

When the older man introduced himself as Cloud, she nodded and thought that the name was very breathtaking, and so was his personality. He did seem like a nice guy to offer the little one a room to stay in. That would mean that she had to pack up everything from her room to his room and settle in there, which did not seem like a bad idea. After all. "Well, that sounds great to me. Do you have a roommate at the moment? If you do, than I do not want to impose." She said, and ate some more of her cake that he gave her. She then heard that he actually sits a dragon, which sounds really cool, as she never saw a dragon that was up close. "Whoa, you watch a dragon. That sounds pretty amazing. I hope the dragon's friendly towards newcomers." She asked, with a nervous chuckle. All her life, she was interested in reading about dragons, and now seeing one up close sounded pretty amazing. She thought that having him as a pillow could be interesting as well, but, of course, it was not hers so, she would not ask the owner if the dragon could sleep with her.

When Riley looked up at him, she was pretty excited, but, at the same time, nervous about meeting this giant dragon. She heard the man mentioning that he would hurt any kids, she felt her anxiety going down. "So, this dragon is harmless, good." She said, with a small grin and felt better about meeting Toothess. "Oh, so, you'll be in the room most of the time when oh watch him? That's good." She comments, as she thought that he was going to act like a big dog. She could imagine his reaction to her and other kids when they arrived in the room.

When she heard the man had to clean and cook a lot of times to just make the room all nice and settled in, it did sound like he had to do that plenty of times to just make sure that it gets all cleaned for anyone to come in and just either hang out or to watch anyone. "Oh, you cook? What do you make?" She asked, out of curiosity; the first thing that came to mind was "anything" but, she did not want to jump the gun. She also thought that cleaning up after Toothless did sound like a hard job, as she did remember watching a couple of dogs, especially her aunt's dog or for another friend, which she did not mind at all. She then finished off her cake and drink and went back to looking up at the man. "Thank you, Cloud for the offer of me moving in with you. I can start going into my room and start gathering my things and I'll meet you, if that's alright." She said, and waited for Cloud to say it was fine for her to go start packing. She did feel a little nervous about moving into a grown man's room; she did not have good parents at the time so, time to start fresh.

When Riley saw that he was grinning straight at him when she mentioned that she was going to move into his room, she looked up straight up at him with a small grin in return. She did feel glad that he was going to have her sleep in his room for quite sometime since her parents only let her sleep in a sleeping bag since they were poor right from the beginning that they were unfortunately not able to afford a bed to sleep in. "Thank you, Cloud." She thanked him and threw out her empty cup and plate. "Let me just my things ready; I just need your room number." She requested as she got out a pencil and paper and waited for him to write his number down so, she can stay in there. She did feel more safe around him and Aqua than with her own parents back at home. Her parents were able to buy her clothing and give her food, but, they were not around that much to give her money, or yet, not even have her sleep in a bed due to money issues. She felt more rich here compared to living in the poor life back in San Francisco.
