Elize loved the garden, she would have spent all her time there. All the flowers and colors. It was the perfect place to play make-believe and daydream. However, today was different. She had a worried look on her face, Teepo was gone. Where had he disappeared to? She always had him with her, but maybe she had dropped him in the garden, the last time she was here.
"Teepo!" she called out, despite knowing the doll couldn't answer back. She got down on her knees, knowing that she would get dirty but she needed her doll. "TEEPO!"

Cloud went to the gardens to clear his head about work and making sure that no humans were coming out at midnight. His foot lightly hit some toy as he looked down and picked it up. He heard cries of a child calling out the name Teepo and looked at the doll. Cloud walked over to the child and asked with concern, "Is this yours?"

Elize looked up at the sound of the voice. Turning, she saw a older man with blonde hair holding her purple doll in his arms. "Teepo!" she said happily getting up and running towards him. "Yes. That's Teepo!" she said happily. "He's my best friend." The little girl was so thankful to the eldest man for finding her doll. Her momma had made her that doll, if she had lost it then she would have been very upset

Cloud got down to her eye level and asked curiously with concern, "Are you here by yourself?" Cloud knew what it was like to alone as a child he had vivid memories of being alone and having no one to be with. Cloud then had an idea he went to his patch of garden where he grew candy flowers and plucked out a strawberry flavored tulip. He handed it to her and said, "Here its for you."

Elize looked at the man with curious eyes before taking the flower. It smelled like strawberries, and felt different. Slowly, she put it in her mouth and ate it. Wow. it was good. Like candy? Yes, it was candy. "It's...hard to explain. My momma said I was a "nep-nephl-" she struggled with the word. "Nephliem." Hugging Teepo close, she looked at Cloud. "I don't remember what that means but my momma said that sending me to this hotel would be better than me staying in the normal world."
She shook her head. "I don't understand it all but I miss her."

Cloud then lifted her up and put her on his shoulders and said with a grin, "Here now you can see the whole garden." This little girl made him feel a bit more alive then he was before and asked with a grin, "Then if you like would you like to live with me...?"

This little girl made him feel a bit more alive then he was before and asked with a grin, "Then if you like would you like to live with me...?" [moving a bit too fast with that they barely know each other and I doubt think Elize would go along with that that fast] Elize looked surprised when the man lifted her up on his shoulders. He was right. the Garden looked amazing from up high, so many colors and it looked like pretty polka dots. The little girl seemed a bit surprised, that he offered that. Was this man lonely? "Um, I...I don't..." she frowned, he was still a stranger, and he had found Teepo. She didn't want to be downright rude though. "Mr? What's your name?" |

Cloud grinned and said happily, "Cloud." He looked at her and patted her head and said with a grin, "Well if you have any problems or is someone is picking on you can come to me." He then picked out another candy flower that pink which was cotton candy flavored and handed it to her and said, "Think of me as your knight."

"A knight?" Elize asked, with a big smile. "Like in the story books?" Her momma always told her stories like that. If Cloud was a knight that made her a princess. Or something right. Something cool like that. "I'm Elize, and this is Teepo." she held up the purple stuffed toy. "Nice to meet you Could."

Cloud nodded his head and chuckled and said as he both shook Elize's and Teepo's hand, "Nice to meet you both." Cloud had liked this girl and her innocence and said with a soft smile, "And I'll always be your knight...Elize."

Elize nodded, "Okay Cloud," she said with a smile. "Are you a protector of the town or do you just stay here at the hotel too?" What was his story, she was interested to know about his life, but only if he wanted to talk about it.

Cloud explained with a small grin, "Well you see Elize I make sure no one who is human come outside because they might get scared of what creatures are." Cloud then frowned as he said sadly, "Sometimes...I want to see what it's like for humans and creatures to live together." Cloud then said with a soft smile, "And yes I make sure no monsters terrorize the village otherwise it would draw attention to us and we would get discovered."

Elize titled her head to the side confused. "I don't understand though, why would it matter if we were discovered? Some of the magicals here aren't bad people. They are very nice." she thought about Tanis and Kanji. Her green eyes looked at Teepo, "And some of the humans are already living here right?" She didn't get it.

Cloud made a soft smile and hugged the little blonde girl and said, "Yes...they are but there are bad creatures who might not see the way you do. Some magical creatures think that they're better than humans." Cloud frowned on the magical creatures he fought to protect both the hotels and humans in the village and said sadly, "I just wished...they could see through your eyes..."

"Is it because we are different?" Elize asked, she did understand why cloud was worried though. People feared what they didn't understand but at some point, she thought that it would be easier to just learn to accept others. She herself was different, though she didn't have powers, she looked human enough but if people found out chances are she would be treated differently. "What about you Cloud? Do people treat you different?"
