Shinji wasn't up for the opening of the hotel, and didn't care if anyone ever met him. It was his job to protect the town, not make nice. Maybe he was being too cold, the past was in the past but it was still hard to forget everything. He was fortunate enough that Drac had offered him this job, and so far he hadn't been seen because he was in the back. All he had asked was that the customers order what they want and if they wanted something requested, they write down the name of their species and Shinji would whip up something for them.
Right now though, it was well into the night and no one was around. Shinji was thinking about closing up for the night, or possibly even making something for himself to eat. He hadn't eaten in awhile

Reno noticed that the hellfire restaurant was open. He was kinda hungry. He walked in the front door and noticed that there was only one other person there. He walked up to the stranger, "Hey. You guys are still open right?"

Shinji turned his head over his shoulder before nodding. "...Yeah." he replied calmly. Looks like his dinner would have to wait. it wasn't that bad actually, he liked seeing customers eat his food, even if he didn't want to get to know them. But Drac was constantly trying to get him to get to know the people he met. he was reluctant to do so. "What can i get you?"

Shinji gave a small grunt before walking into the kitchen. Surprise huh. He hadn't done that in awhile. though the red head did look like he did want something interesting. Shinji would give him just that. "Do you want species surprise or just normal?" he asked, though it didn't seem like this man was a regular type of species

Shinji gave a small smirk. "What species are you?" he asked, before scratching his neck. "I can make something based on your species," he said. "Just a little trick I can do." he didn't like having to admit that most of the time he was interested in what people's species were for he liked trying new things out

Reno wasn't quite sure if he should tell this guy. He had been hunted before because of it and didn't want to have to start running since he didn't have his helicopter anymore, "Human?"

Shinji nodded, he figured that if this man wanted to tell him then it was fine, but Shinji was fine with secrets. He had a lot of secrets he wasn't willing to share. "i'll make you something, one second" he sighed, as he went into the kitchen.

It didn't take long before smells of rich armomas filled the restaurant. Shinji didn't like to brag or anything but he did like the smell of food even if he wasn't cooking it. He just hoped he got himself a satisfied customer.

Reno began to smell the scent coming from the kitchen. It was almost intoxicating.

Shinji came back a few seconds later with a plate of delicious food, and pushed it towards Reno. "Eat up." he said simply. There wasn't anything else to say at least to the shadow channeller. If Reno wanted to make conversation it was his choice to do so. Shinji wouldn't push towards such a thing. It was just the way he was after all that happened

Reno took a bite of the food, "Oh man! This is killer, yo!" He made a pleased face as he took another bite, "How long have you been cooking?"

Shinji gave a slight grin at his response. "Glad to hear it." he said simply and then had to think about that question. He had started cooking before his mom started to date again. "Its been a few years." he said, "It was really the only thing I've been good at."
