Maleficent had called both of her children to announce who would be fit to rule. She knew she wasn't going to be doing this forever and needed one of her children to rule and take her place. Yu flew in his dragon form and landed as he went back to his normal state when hel landed in front of his mother. Yu asked seriously and annoyed with his arms crossed, "What is it this time mother?" Maleficent laughed and smiled as she touched her son's cheek as she said, "Patience, Yu. We're waiting for your dear sister."

Mal ran down the steps as fast as she could. "Mother" said Mal as she stop next to Yu. True they were bother and sister but she couldn't stand her bother and that he was an full dragon. But he didn't get the dragon staff, she did and had the mark on her arm and her eyes glow green. Mal hated that her father was human and part of her, why couldn't she have been the fill dragon?

Maleficent looked at both of her children and said as she looked at both of them, "Now I called you two here for an announcement. I'm thinking of retiring soon and I have made my decision of who would be my heir to my throne." Yu couldn't believe that he was mother was going to retire and asked curiously, "Why?" Maleficent laughed and said with an evil smile, "Because my son I'm not going to live forever and I want to see one of my children to take over should I fall from grace." Yu mumbled low as he looked down, "A little late for that." Maleficent frowned and slapped her son's cheek across the face then rubbed it, "Be grateful your my son otherwise I would've burned you."

Mal watch as mom slap Yu. "He should have got that an long time ago" thought Mal as she didn't say an word as she had been at the end. "Mother which one do you would be better to fill in as heir to your throne" asked Mal as she look at her mother. Mal hope that mother would give it to her because she did have half of mother name and she would have been an better choice to rule in mom place.

Maleficent looked at Mal then at Yu and said with an evil smile, "Yu." Yu was confused and asked, "Me?" Maleficent laughed and said happily as she walked up to her son, "You have it all, my son. Fame, power, and money all because you try to impress me." Yu frowned and said seriously, "I did those things to get away from it all...but now I have the responsibility to do what I have to do." Maleficent smiled evilly and held her hands together, "That's my boy."

Mal look at her mother. "WAIT WHAT, he hasn't done anything. Who got you your staff back, that was me not Yu" said Mal as she push her brother aside. Mal stand in front of her mother as her eyes where glowing green. "What about me. I have done everything you have asked of me" yelled Mal.

Maleficent said seriously, "Yes sweetie you may have done those things except you can't turned into a dragon. Your brother can and without that transformation it means my bloodline ends." Yu said seriously, "Why tell her the truth...its because she's half human, isn't it?" Maleficent said seriously as she looked at her son, "I chose you because the dragon form is our greatest defense and without that we are vulnerable. I need you to continue the blood line and make the next heir."
Yu asked seriously with concern, "Are you asking what I think you're asking?" Maleficent said with an evil smile, "Yes. I want you to find a fiancee and marry her." Maleficent looked at Mal and said with an evil smile, "That goes for you too sweetie. I may change my mind if you found a bloodline worthy of my name."

Mal was very mad. "He doesn't have the mark of the dragon, I do" said Mal "So it not my fault that I can't become the dragon because of you mother" said Mal with anger in her voice. "How I'm I going to do that, most people fear me like you mom" said Mal.

Maleficent said angrily as she slammed her staff down, "They don't fear you, they fear who your mother is..." Maleficent said angrily as she looked at Mal, "I've said it before find fiance who has the bloodline that would be stronger that your brother's." She then looked at Yu and Mal and said evilly with a smile before she disappeared, "May the best bloodline win." Yu then looked at Mal and asked seriously, "Well?"

"Good luck brother" said Mal as she would beat her brother. She knew that she could find someone better then Yu but not here. "I will be better then you and you won't live to see that day" said Mal

Yu got in front of Mal and asked angrily, "You think I want this? To be the heir to her bloodline?" Yu said angrily as his eyes turned red, "I know that we don't have the relationship we once had but you have to got to stop being our mother's shadow." Yu managed to get out of his mother's shadow and left to live his own life. His mother was angry at first but she saw it as an opportunity for her bloodline to live on both in the creature world and the human world.

Mal look at him as he stand in front of her. "Who wouldn't" asked Mal as her eyes started to glow green. "Say the boy who don't have to live up to mother name and I remember it wasn't that great when we where younger" said Mal. Her bother didn't have to share their mother name unlike herself.

Yu said angrily as his eye grew into a deeper shade of red, "I wanted to get close to you but you pushed me away as if I was a disease." Yu growled as he begin to sprout wings and blue azure flames came out of his mouth.
