Rapunzel said with a smile, "Yeah, I bake too when I'm not designing clothes and I bake for parties and for the staff for thanking them for letting me stay at the hotel or helping me with my fashion designs." Rapunzel cut a slice out of apple pie for Lapis and handed a plate and fork to her as she said with a smile, "Here try it. It tastes good as it looks." Rapunzel watched with a smile as she wondered how Lapis would react.

Lapis carefully took the plate and looked at the desert in front of her. The blue skinned girl hestitated before taking a bite of it. It was really good. Really good. She didn't know what to say. "This is really yummy." she said, slowly after swallowing the food. "I didn't think that humans could make food this good."

Rapunzel said happily then with a sheepish smile, "Yeah, I was a little scared myself until I tried it out. I just wanted to bake it myself and my first time came out burnt charcoal. Still Mister Dracula tried it even though I knew it was bad." Rapunzel continued as she put whipped cream on a slice of pumpkin pie, "I got better with my baking and soon the whole staff loved it." Rapunzel took a bite out of the pumpkin pie and smiled as she said, "Mmmmmm...My pumpkin pie turned out really good. I hope its as good for Halloween next month."

Lapis looked at the girl for a long time. "You seem to get along with everyone." she said after a moment of silence. She didn't understand it, part of the fairy's concern was mainly her own issue of not letting go of the past. "How do you do it?"

Rapunzel said with a small smile, "They're my family...I was found at the hotel's door and Mister Dracula took me in. He thought that if I was here Mavis wouldn't be sad..." Rapunzel knew the tragic tale of Miss Martha and knew that Mister Dracula didn't like to talk about his wife and what happened to him. Rapunzel then said sadly, "I know how Mister Dracula suffers and that only I was to know his pain. I kept my promise to him to make sure that Mavis wasn't alone at the hotel."

Lapis looked at the food again with a sad look. "They took me in too, I didn't think that anyone could be that nice. At least not after what happened." She frowned, the visions of the past made her more quiet and she never talked about it to anyone, even Dracula. He seemed to understand. "I didn't mean them...i meant the guests."

Rapunzel said with a small smile, "I guess you can say I can help with their problems." Rapunzel begin to sing a soft lullaby and her hair begin to glow and as soon she stopped singing she said with a smile, "I help the guests with their injuries you be amazed to find so many guests hurt at this hotel."

Lapis looked down at the plate before placing it on the table. "Yes..yes i know." she said quietly. The fairy wasn't sure what to say without sounding harsh. It wasn't Rapunzel's fault, and it certainly wasn't her place to tell the blonde off. "But even you can't fix all injuries right?"

Rapunzel said sadly, "Physically yes but emotionally no. Even my magic has limits..." Rapunzel moved some of her hair to the side to show one small strand of brown hair and said sadly, "One guest tried to take it for themselves because if they took a strand of it they can heal themselves over and over without me. That's not how my magic works...most of the time I put a smile on because I'm scared." Rapunzel's hands shook as she said scared, "I'm scared if they tried to take my hair again...I won't be able to help anyone anymore...Mister Dracula would find me useless...and Mavis won't be my friend anymore...I'll be...I'll be...!"
Rapunzel was breathing fast as her hands shook harder and she dropped her plate. She gasped and looked down as then looked at Lapis from fright. Rapunzel apologized as she begin to clean the mess, "I'm sorry, Lapis. I...don't normally take off my mask in front of others. If they saw the true side of myself they would think I'm useless...but you..." Rapunzel then smiled as she continued, "You make it so beautiful in your garden...I'm jealous..." It was true that part of Rapunzel was jealous of Lapis and her garden and that she wasn't afraid of who would to try to hurt her or her garden.

Lapis shook her head. "It's alright," she said gently. "I understand what its like, I am not..." she frowned trying to think. "I am not as strong as people think, I couldn't undo the mistake i did in the past." She pushed a strand of blue hair out of her face. "The garden is the only place that makes me feel...feel better about things that have happened, and its something that I can treasure. I guess liek the way you do with your cooking and clothing."
She sighed. "We can't hide everything but somethings are too hard to even admit." Someday she would explain to someone about what happened to her. But now it was time to move on. "I am not as strong as you think."

Rapunzel started to cry and hugged Lapis tight. She said as she sobbed, "But it doesn't make who you are now..." Rapunzel lifted her face up and smile as she said, "Because if it were true you wouldn't try to talk to me and try my clothes. I may not know what you did in the past that was so horrible but I'm glad that you're here." Rapunzel laced her fingers with Lapis' fingers as she asked with a smile, "BFF?"

Lapis blinked as Rapunzel hugged her. She was a bit tense but slowly relaxed and hugged the blonde girl back. "I am trying to not let it make me who i am." she sighed. "But the past isn't easy to heal, and i am still haunted by it." The fairy pulled back and looked confused by the human gesture. "BFF?" she asked titling her head to the side.

Rapunzel giggled and said with a smile, "Best Friend Forever. Do you want to be?" Rapunzel wished her and Lapis could be BFF with her and that might help her open her heart to others and help her pain little by little. Rapunzel then gasped and said as she got out the most important piece of Lapis's clothing line and said as she got it out, "This outfit is amazing. I made a gardening outfit for out and I thought that way you won't get dirty knees or grass stains."

"Best Friend Forever?" she asked again, this must have been a mortal thing that happened. The fairy wasn't sure what to do with this. She knew that the idea of having a best friend was a big deal, but was she even ready for something like that? She had to be. "Um..okay. BBF." she said nodding before looking at the outfit that Rapunzel had gotten out. It looked just like the others, with blue. But the outfit didn't look like typical gardening outfit, like overalls, it looked better than that.

Rapunzel giggled with excitement and said happily, "Go ahead try it out." Rapunzel got her camera ready and got behind it as she says happily, "Oh this going to be great!" Rapunzel thought the overalls were a bit to tacky so she decided to come up with a whole design for her outfit.
